Sandy Hill Bay
A cresent of sand on a protected bay, Sandy Hill beach is a pleasant place to sun and swim. A favorite beach of the local population. A number of villas, some rental villas line the hills around this beach. Check out the panorama of Sandy Hill beach. Just walk on beach or take along some hiking boots and head west. The beach gives way to searocks and around the point is another small spit of sand called Dropsey Bay. Not great for swimming but it has interesting rock formations.

Sandy Ground
Sandy Ground has beautiful white sand beach. The beach is fascinating to stroll - past local fisherman, visiting yachtsmen, sun-burned tourists, children playing in the sand and gourmet restaurants. The village of Sandy Ground is Anguilla's main port for ships and also nighttime activites. The long curved beach is lined with high cliffs and a salt pond behind. The harbour is usually filled with all types of fishing boats and pleasure boats.
Prickley Pear Cay
This small cay off the north coast of Anguilla is a popular stop for sailboats and snorkel trips. Take a short boat ride to the island from Sandy Ground. Two beachbar restaurants offer lunch and boat rides to the island. This beach is about 7 miles northwest off the coast of Sandy Ground at Road Bay.
Captains Bay
Captains Bay is on the north coast just before the eastern tip of the island. This quarter mile stretch of perfect white sand is bounded on the left by a rocky shoreline where Atlantic waves break spectacularly. There is one home, a large one, at this remote spot. we do not recommend swimming at Captains Bay: the surf can be dangerous (and never swim alone at a remote beach.)
Starting from the airport parking lot, take the only exit and turn left, then go straight past Island Rental Cars and the National Bank. Continue straight through the traffic
