Shoal Bay East
Shoal Bay in the east is the most popular beach on Anguilla. This means that a good portion of the beach is lined with beach bars, small resorts and umbrellas. Fortunately they seem to blend into the background and actually come in handy when you are ready for lunch. Elodias,Maderimans and Uncle Ernies have good food at the right price and shade.

Caribbean : Anguilla
Anguilla Leeward Islands Coral island. 91 km2 (35 sq miles) in area, some 250 km (155 miles) east of Puerto Rico. The interior of the island is flat, dry and scrubby, pockmarked with salt ponds and devoid of dramatic scenery. Anguilla is one of the most paradise like islands in the Caribbean. The northernmost of the Leeward Islands, 145 miles east of Puerto Rico , the island is 16 miles long and 3 miles wide. However, this fact is largely ignored by an increasing stream of visitors who beat their way here for the glorious turquoise waters
Rendezvous Bay
One the most spectacular beaches on Anguilla is Rendezvous Bay Beach. This long perfect crescent faces St. Martin and has plenty of room for three resorts, while still having long stretches of undeveloped beach. Going from east to west on the bay, the first resort we come to is the Rendezvous Bay Hotel, which has suites directly on the sand and also on the rocky shoreline adjacent to the beach (where there is also a restaurant, Cedar Grove. The picture above shows the beach, looking back east toward the hotel.
Little Bay
Little Bay is Anguilla's best kept secret, a tiny quiet beach, fantastic snorkelling...
You can get there by climbing down the cliff but a better way is to take Carl's water taxi from Crocus Bay. Little Bay is a natural fish nursery located on the north side at about the center of the island. The cliffs house seabirds feeding on the fish below. It's difficult to reach except by boat, but worth the effort for the avid snorkler, as Little Bay shows off the rainbows of parrot fish and the silver shimmer of schools of tiny swimmers. Little
Elsie Bay
Probably Anguilla's smallest beach, this tiny jewel has some unusual snorkeling opportunities. Several rental villas are within walking distance of this beach. Situated just east of Little Harbour on the southern coast. This is a popular local spot for picnics, but most of the time it is completely deserted. Experienced snorkelers will enjoy the coral formations close to the shore of this beach. Fairly well protected with very little wave action.
